Day 0:

Christchurch

Day 0, Paper work day. Fill up paper work ( if not done before arrival ), sort out insurance bond and check bike condition. Ready for the next days travel. No accomondation included in day 0 

Day 1:

Auckland | Coromandel

Auckland 1

Kick off your 21-day adventure with a scenic drive from Auckland to the Coromandel Peninsula. As you leave the city behind, immerse yourself in the lush greenery and stunning coastal views. Upon arrival, explore the charming town of Coromandel, known for its art galleries and local crafts. Take a walk through the serene Coromandel Forest Park or relax on one of the pristine beaches. This first day sets the tone for your epic journey through New Zealand's diverse landscapes.

Day 2:

Coromandel | Rotorua

Rotorua 3

Travel from Coromandel to Rotorua, renowned for its geothermal activity and rich Maori culture. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush landscapes as you approach Rotorua. Once there, immerse yourself in the geothermal wonders with a visit to geysers, hot springs, and mud pools. On your entry into Rotorua, you’ll be greeted with not only its vibrant feel but also the strong smell of sulphur. This is one of many highlights of the trip making sure you stop by at the luge and explore adventure activities.

Day 3:

Rotorua

As Rotorua has a number of activities, we recommend exploring the following
  • Geothermal wonders at Wai-O-Tapu or Te Puia
  • Redwoods treewalks 
  • Enjoy kayaking or boating activities at lake Rotorua 
  • Check out the Skyline luge or zipline adventure. If mountain biking is more of your thing, they have that as well
  • Agrodome, New Zealand is famous for its sheep. Check out fun and educational experience and see a shearing demonstration with an interactive farm tour.

Day 4:

Rotorua | Taupo | Napier

With Taupo only being a short ride we Begin by heading south to Taupo, where you can visit the impressive Huka Falls and enjoy the stunning views of Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s largest lake. Aftering taking in what Taupo has to offer, we arrive in Napier which is known as the Art Deco architecture capital of the world. Napier is also known for pleasant weather, charming waterfront, wineries and local eateries.

Day 5:

Napier | Wellington

Wellington 1

Set out from Napier and journey south to Wellington, New Zealand's capital city. Enjoy a scenic drive through the diverse landscapes of the Hawke’s Bay region as you approach Wellington. Upon arrival, explore the city’s cultural highlights, including the Te Papa Museum, which offers interactive exhibits on New Zealand's history and natural wonders. Stroll along the vibrant waterfront, visit the historic Cable Car, or wander through the charming streets of Cuba Street. Wellington's eclectic mix of culture, cuisine, and stunning harbour views will provide a fitting end to your day.

Day 6:

Wellington | Picton

Since New Zealand is separated to two main islands, we take a ferry for a scenic crossing towards Picton as this is the beginning of our south island leg of the journey. Upon arriving in Picton, explore this quaint port town nestled between hills and harbor. Stroll along the waterfront where this town take center stage as the start of more to come

Day 7:

Picton | Punakaiki

Travel from Picton to the renowned Pancake Rocks and Blowholes in Punakaiki. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush rainforests and dramatic coastal landscapes as you make your way to this geological wonder. Upon arrival, explore the unique limestone formations that resemble stacks of pancakes, and witness the powerful blowholes as they spout water high into the air.

Day 8:

Punakaiki | Fox Glacier

We head south to the striking Fox Glacier. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush rainforests and rugged landscapes as you approach the glacier. Once there, explore the stunning ice formations and glacial landscapes with options for guided glacier walks or scenic helicopter flights (if time permits). Marvel at the contrast between the ice and the surrounding temperate rainforest, and take in the breathtaking views of the Southern Alps.

Day 9:

Fox Flacier | Queenstown

Journey towards Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand. As you drive through the breathtaking Haast Pass, take in the stunning mountain views and shimmering lakes. With the remarkable moutain range you can see what makes it ‘remarkable’ and how beautiful New Zealand is.

Day 10-11:

Queenstown 

Queenstown

Enjoy a well-deserved rest day in Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand. Take this opportunity to relax and recharge while soaking in the stunning alpine scenery. Explore the town at your own pace, take a leisurely stroll along Lake Wakatipu, indulge in some local shopping, or simply unwind at a café. 

Day 12 - 14:

Queenstown | Te Anau | Milford Sound | Invercarill/Bluff

Begin your journey from Queenstown to Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland National Park. Spend some time exploring this charming town, known for its tranquil lakeside views and connection to New Zealand’s wilderness. From Te Anau, head south to Invercargill, a city rich in history and motorcycling heritage. Visit the Invercargill Motorcycle Museum, showcasing an impressive collection of classic and vintage bikes. Don’t miss the tribute to local legend Burt Munro, celebrated for "The Fastest Indian." Finally, continue to Bluff, New Zealand’s southernmost point, known for its stunning coastal views and iconic Bluff oysters.

Day 15:

Invercargill | Dunedin

Dunedin

So far we have travelled the whole length of New Zealand! As we descend to the final days of our tour we head toward Dunedin, a city renowned for its Scottish heritage and striking architecture. Along the scenic coastal route, enjoy views of the rugged Southland countryside.

Day 16-18:

Dunedin | Cromwell | Twizel | Mount Cook

As we head back inland towards Cromwell, you’ll see fruit orchards along with stunning lakeside views. Through Lindis Pass you’ll be treated to panoramic vistas of rolling hills and rugged landscapes. Arrive in Twizel, a gateway to the stunning Mackenzie Country. Relax in this peaceful town, with options to explore nearby lakes or enjoy the clear night skies for stargazing. Take in the awe-inspiring Aoraki/Mount Cook, NZL tallest mountain. marvel at the dramatic ice-clad peak and explore the surrounding alpine scenery with options for scenic walks or visiting the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre.

Day 19-21:

Twizel | Christchurch

As we finish our 20 day trip, we head towards Christchurch travel through the scenic Mackenzie Country. Take in the stunning views of Lake Pukaki and the majestic Aoraki/Mount Cook in the distance. Finally, arrive in Christchurch, where the vibrant cityscape meets rich cultural heritage.

  • Accommodation: Twin shared room accommodation is provided from Day 1 of the tour, but not on the final day.
  • Fuel: Fuel for the motorcycles is covered throughout the tour.
